The Question That Ruins Small Talk
The fastest way to know someone is to ask them something they cannot prepare for. That is what Swipe or Dare does all night. A Swipe puts you in the Hot Seat. A Dare is exactly what it sounds like. Neither one gives you time to think it through, and that is The Real-Time Reaction. You will not work anyone out from across this room. You have to go and find out.
A face, a name, and about half a second. You make your call and move on, and never find out whether you were right.
Swipe or Dare gives you the other half of that.
A Swipe puts you in the Hot Seat with a question you cannot see coming, and you answer it standing in front of the person who asked. A Dare does not ask you anything at all. It just needs doing.
Both earn tokens, and the Dare earns more, because it should. Enough of them and Sink or Miss is waiting, with something in it worth walking over for.
What comes out of you in that moment, before you have had a chance to shape it, is the realest thing anyone in that room will see all night.
